Abstract

Economic status is the level of prestige owned by someone in a society based on work or other material ownership that can indicate individual status. The application of data mining can help analyze data obtained from conditions of economic status. Data mining technique used is to use clustering techniques. One method of clustering is the Fuzzy C-Means algorithm. Fuzzy C-Means has a high degree of accuracy and fast computing time. Test the validity of the results of clustering to classify socioeconomic status by using the calculation of Partition Coefficient (PC) obtained 0.791, this means it can be said that the results of clustering are classified in either category. Based on the results of calculations that the Fuzzy C-Means method can classify socioeconomic status.
